My Greatest Influence

Where’s dad? Growing up without him is strange, especially when it seems that everyone else around you has him. Yes, I know that you didn’t chose to die and leave us alone, but I miss you! Do you hear my cries? Can you feel my pain? Who’s going to protect us? How am I supposed to conduct myself?

That was my mindset and journey as a young man! Remember, dad doesn’t have to be biological; he just needs to be a man of high character and morals. Throughout my life I’ve had great role models: teachers; cousins; friends; uncles; adopted dads; managers; ministers, etc…and the list goes on. But the greatest influence has come from Christ – he taught me how to love…and to love myself as a first priority. After loving me, I learned to love others and treat them better.
